July is gone so fast

small things

We can do no great things;
only small things with great love.

My little friend died yesterday
a sad day

looks like autum

rain and it looks like autum
stitching on this quilt
slowly it grows
a lazy sunday
stitching and dreaming
outside there is rain

I'm so thankful for this craft of mine!

old things

Old things are more beautiful
than many things brand new
because they bring fond memories
of things we used to do.
Old photographs in albums
love letters tied with lace
recapture those old feelings
that new ones can't replace.
Baby shoes, a teddy bear,
a ring that Grandma wore,
are treasures waiting there behind
a door marked "Nevermore".
Old things are more beautiful,
more precious day by day.
Because they are the flowers
we planted yesterday.

Shells

 She sells sea-shells on the sea shore;
The shells that she sells are sea-shells I'm sure.
So if she sells sea-shells on the sea shore,
I'm sure that the shells are sea-shore shells.
