Tea Party
weaving along on the tea party quilt
I changed the name from tea pot to tea party
it is better this way
for it is a party a joy to work on

outfit
A new outfit for a new doll
a jacket and apron for working in the garden
a jacket and apron for working in the garden
New feet within my garden go,
New fingers stir the sod;
A troubadour upon the elm
Betrays the solitude.
New children play upon the green,
New weary sleep below;
And still the pensive spring returns,
And still the punctual snow!

Rose Garden
I beg your pardon,
I never promised you a rose garden.
Along with the sunshine,
There's gotta be a little rain sometimes.
When you take, you gotta give, so live and let live,
Or let go.
cupcakes
Cupcakes
Oh all the kinds of cupcakes,Filled with sugar and sweet.
They're all sorts of flavors,
And my favorite treat.
Strawberry and vanilla,
Chocolate and peanut-butter.
They're all so delicious,
I have to have another.
But I must resist,
For if I don't there will be trouble.
But try as hard as I might,
They're all so yummy and loveable! ! !

a little design,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Every clothes loving girl,
Wants to be,
A fashion designer,
Of the highest quality.
To design for the rich,
Design for the poor,
Design for the famous,
Then design even more.
Design a new pair of jeans,
A nightgown or two,
Design a dress for me,
And then a top for you.
Think up the latest fad,
Make a magazine as well,
See your ideas on the catwalk,
Before they go to shops, to sell.

to love and to hold
The Rag Doll
by *acidlullabyShe built her home in tear drops
And gave her heart to the sky.
She tied up leaves
Around her sleeves
And pretended she could fly.
One morning in mid Winter
On a day that felt more like Spring,
She opened her ears
To the sound of tears
And imagined she could sing.
Overhead the birds would sweep
In sunshine or in rain.
Part of a crowd
They were happy and proud
And ignorant of her pain.
With a final farewell to teardrops
She climbed the tallest tower...
In her silent voice
She made her choice
Knowing freedom was in her power.
With her gaze up to the heavens
She felt then only peace,
As she took one step more
That trailed across the floor
She finally sought release.
The world lit up in sun beams
As she soared high on makeshift wings,
And the birds gathered round
Because they had found
They could hear music when she sings.

Tea pots
I'm a little teapot, short and stout,
Here's my handle, here's my spout,
When I hear the tea-cups, hear me shout,
"Tip me up and pour me out".

Hexagons
Hexing Hexagons
These hexing hexagons of mineAre perplexing hexing thoughts
Of whirling toward the world I see
For a swirl of whirling fun
A line to spawn these drawn shapes
As they dawn to spawn some more
Then patterns placed by grace to find
Show races placed inside my mind

The Mushroom
The Mushroom is the Elf of Plants --Emily Dickinson
At Evening, it is not --
At Morning, in a Truffled Hut
It stop upon a Spot
As if it tarried always
And yet its whole Career
Is shorter than a Snake's Delay
And fleeter than a Tare --
'Tis Vegetation's Juggler --
The Germ of Alibi --
Doth like a Bubble antedate
And like a Bubble, hie --
I feel as if the Grass was pleased
To have it intermit --
This surreptitious scion
Of Summer's circumspect.
Had Nature any supple Face
Or could she one contemn --
Had Nature an Apostate --
That Mushroom -- it is Him!

New Beginnings
I see the field where life does grow
in patches green from down below
where now we walk thru seeds once sown
a time of new beginning
We look not back from whence we came
or where we go it's all the same
where life's within a picture frame
in times of new beginning
Hold not for what tomorrow brings
to change your life, so many things
the bell once tolled, no longer rings
for a time of new beginning
Give not to sadness, enjoy the smiles
In fields, once yielded to the plow
come lay with me for just a while
This time of new beginning
So look now deep into my eyes
enjoy this time for how it flies
of gentle moans and tender sighs
for us and new beginnings
in patches green from down below
where now we walk thru seeds once sown
a time of new beginning
We look not back from whence we came
or where we go it's all the same
where life's within a picture frame

Big Bigger
The forest quilt is no longer a quilt it is a BIG pillow now
for dreaming my dreams
Let me take you to the enchanted forest,
Where the fairies and the elves will pamper you,
Amid the wild rose and honeysuckle plants,
To remind you of the marvels of your youth.

Amid the wild rose and honeysuckle plants,

Dromen
Dromen dat zijn avonturen
Avonturen in je hoofd
Dromen dat zijn de verhalen
Die je bijna niet gelooft.

No Time
sometimes I feel like this
No Time
I push through the chaos,
My mind tangles up,
My senses are battered,
My thoughts remain shut,
The purr of the traffic
Sends birds to the sky,
Abused by construction,
I wish I could fly,
As I glance at my watch
I know I must run,
I've no time for a life,
No time to have fun,
I've no time to observe,
My eyes cannot see,
There's no time to listen,
No time to be me.

Sunny Sunday
A bit more about Noordwijk
I got this little gift from Tineke ,,,,
It is something I would choose
It gave my spirits quite a lift
It’s something I will use!
And I also like to let you know
the new challenge we received
The strength of Mother Earth
from Sandra,
and as you know I like a poem
for my inspiration

Mother Earth
Gazing up toward the light,
...spinning slowly 'round.
Hear her soft sweet lullaby,
...and sink toward the ground.
Feel her peaceful greenness,
...breathe in her clear blue sky.
Evermore forgiving;
...be thankful she's alive.
Give back to her so kindly,
...her face we've known since birth.
Cherish her not blindly,
...for she's our only Mother Earth.
Gazing up toward the light,
...spinning slowly 'round.
Hear her soft sweet lullaby,
...and sink toward the ground.
Feel her peaceful greenness,
...breathe in her clear blue sky.
Evermore forgiving;
...be thankful she's alive.
Give back to her so kindly,

Cherish her not blindly,
...for she's our only Mother Earth.

Labyrinth
The labyrinth awaits the sojourner--
almost calls her name--
Will you enter my simple boundaries
and journey my paths
One Step at a Time?
we went to Noordwijk to show the finished Labyrinth quilts
Sandra Tineke Willy and Myself
Willy arranged a beautiful house and she invited us,
the weather was so good the first spring day
we walked and talked enjoying the sun
It was a wonderful present
Home again enjoining the memories
of lovely days
Thanks to Willy

This Little Bag
This little bag I hope will prove
To be not vainly made--
For, if you should a needle want
It will afford you aid.
And as we are about to part
T'will serve another end,
For when you look upon the Bag
You'll recollect your friend

Present
The Tea Party
I had a little tea party
This afternoon at three.
'Twas very small-
Three guest in all-
Just I, myself and me.
Myself ate all the sandwiches,
While I drank up the tea;
'Twas also I who ate the pie
And passed the cake to me
It is not my birthday yet,
but I got my first present from my dear friend Willy
we had a great day together Sandra Willy and myself
now while drinking tea and remembering all the days we had
Thanks for a fine friendship
I will make myself an other cup of tea
have a nice sunday

just a poem
Warning
When I am an old woman I shall wear purpleWith a red hat which doesn't go, and doesn't suit me.
And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves
And satin sandals, and say we've no money for butter.
I shall sit down on the pavement when I'm tired
And gobble up samples in shops and press alarm bells
And run my stick along the public railings
And make up for the sobriety of my youth.
I shall go out in my slippers in the rain
And pick flowers in other people's gardens
And learn to spit.
You can wear terrible shirts and grow more fat
And eat three pounds of sausages at a go
Or only bread and pickle for a week
And hoard pens and pencils and beermats and things in boxes.
But now we must have clothes that keep us dry
And pay our rent and not swear in the street
And set a good example for the children.
We must have friends to dinner and read the papers.
But maybe I ought to practice a little now?
So people who know me are not too shocked and surprised
When suddenly I am old, and start to wear purple.
